I'm Rich! I'm Rich!

No, I didn’t win the lottery. I didn’t stumble upon a treasure chest or wake up to find a million-dollar cheque under my pillow.

But the sun came up again today.
And that, in itself, makes me rich.

I opened my eyes to another chance — another day to breathe, to stretch, to sip my coffee slowly, to laugh at my daughter’s silliness, to write, to create, to simply be. I get to keep doing the things I love — and that makes me feel like the wealthiest woman alive.

Being rich, I’ve come to realise, isn’t about numbers in the bank. It’s about being able to take time off without guilt. It’s being able to take life at your own pace. It’s about waking up to the mountains one week, a beach the next, or sipping tea in a lush green garden overlooking a serene lake — with your beautiful daughter climbing into your lap and your sexy, sexy husband cooking you breakfast (shirtless, preferably!).

You know what I mean? That. That’s being rich.

Somewhere along the way, we were made to believe that being “rich” meant something material. That it looked like big houses, luxury vacations, designer bags, and six-digit bank balances. But these days, richness has taken a different shape for me.

It looks like cozy pajamas, a quiet morning, and sunlight streaming in through the window.
It sounds like giggles from the next room and little feet padding across the floor.
It feels like freedom — to live life on my own terms, to follow my pace, to do what lights me up.

Yes, there are days filled with chaos. Yes, some mornings start with spilled milk and unbrushed hair. Yes, I often forget to reply to messages, chase deadlines, and feel like I’m one load of laundry away from a meltdown.

But even on those days — especially on those days — I remind myself:

The sun came up again.
And I get to keep going.

So today, I’m choosing to count the little joys. The kind of riches that don’t come with a price tag. The kind that fill your soul instead of your cart.

Because real wealth is living a life you love — one glorious, messy, magical moment at a time.

To the journey — and the magic in between.
