The Man Who Married My Madness

Let’s take a moment to talk about him.

The man who doesn’t say much, but hears it all.
The one who silently nods while I passionately retell something that may or may not have happened ten minutes ago — with full sound effects, hand gestures, and dramatic pauses.
The one who juggles two full-time jobs — our over-enthusiastic, turbo-charged child... and me, his unpredictable, emotionally creative wife.

While I’m out here living life like a walking, talking to-do list with glitter and panic, he’s the calm in the storm. No fanfare, no spotlight. Just quiet strength, deep patience, and a face that says, “I’ve seen worse.”

His patience? Unbelievable.
His threshold for my shenanigans? Olympic level.

He lets me be — truly be — without trying to fix or change a thing. And that’s not just love. That’s art.

But here's what I sometimes forget in the chaos:
What must it feel like for him?
To hold space for someone who needs frequent reassurance, spontaneous tea or may be wine breaks at 11 PM, and hugs & kisses just because Mercury is retrograde?

To carry his own worries, work stress, silent battles — and still make space for ours?

Because he does. Quietly. Daily. Faithfully.

He listens when I ramble.
He holds me when I crumble.
He doesn’t always have the words — but he shows up, again and again.

So no, he’s not the flowers-and-love-letters kind of guy.
He’s the “I'll hold the baby while you nap” guy.
The “I'll cancel my call, you need a break” guy.
The “I saw this cookie and thought of you” guy.
The kind of guy who makes love feel real, not just romantic.

He may be really annoying when he steals the blanket or ignores my very logical advice — but he’s also the soul who anchors mine.

Here’s to the man who married my madness — and somehow still likes me.
Who doesn’t just tolerate the chaos, but finds rhythm in it.

I don’t say it often, but I hope he knows:
He’s my calm, my constant, and my favourite kind of weird.

To the journey — and the quiet superheroes who walk it with us.
